Richie is passionate about bringing amazing new music innovations and experiences to life.

In 2006 he created a playable  'Air Guitar' with his Wearable Instrument Shirt he developed at CSIRO. In 2014 he created 'STOMP' an exciting new foot drum to support his acoustic duo/trio guitar performances. In 2020 he created DRUMCOBRA™ (Pat Pend AU 2024903604) , an amazing acoustic drum trigger technology for playing your kit all ways! Acoustic, Hybrid, and Electronic. He plays DRUMCOBRA™ at HOME, at LIVE gigs, and in his STUDIO recording drums.

He is an Australian performing musician and research engineer who plays gigs in the Geelong region and publishes his music compositions as Richie Au on streaming platforms such as Spotify.
