Kit programs with sounds designed by Richie for TD27

The kit programs allocate sounds to all kit pieces on the TD27 module and includes the standard TD27 kit inputs as well as the 4 extension trigger inputs for a 6 piece kit (six drums and six cymbals). The sounds are mixed to the stereo output. The demonstration kit has the trigger output allocation shown in picture:

What do I need to load these kit programs onto my Roland module?

You will need a standard SD Card (ideally between 2GB and 32GB formatted to FAT32 or SDHC), a computer with an SD card slot or reader, and your electronic drum module. Please note that high-capacity SDXC cards (64GB or larger) are often not recognized by drum modules unless specially formatted.

How do I copy the preset files onto my SD Card?

  1. Insert your SD card into your electronic drum module first.
  2. Go to the module’s settings menu and select Format SD Card. This builds the exact folder layout the module expects to see.
  3. Remove the card and insert it into your computer.
  4. Download and unzip your Richie Audio preset purchase folder.

• 5. Copy the preset file (usually ending in a specific format like .TD0) and paste it directly into the "KIT" folder found inside the main "Roland" directory on your card. Do not rename the file structure.

How do I load the kit into my module?

  1. Insert the loaded SD Card back into your powered-down module, then turn the unit on.
  2. Press the SD Card or Setup button on your module interface.
  3. Select Kit Load (or Import Preset) from the screen options.
  4. Choose the slot number where you copied the file, then choose an empty or user-defined kit slot on your module to overwrite.

• 5. Press Execute or Load to complete the upload. 

Will this overwrite my existing custom user kits?

When you load a preset, it only overwrites the single user kit slot you choose during the import process. To be completely safe, we highly recommend executing a full SD Card Backup of your current module settings before importing any new third-party sounds.
