𝚿 Psychoacoustic Synchronicity
Share
‘Psychoacoustic Synchronicity Incidence’ (PSI, 𝚿 ) is the hearing experience cognition of sound when we expect to hear the sound as part of instrument performance, i.e. an experience like the playing ‘feel’ response of a great acoustic instrument. We seek to understand and give useful measures to a Psychoacoustic Synchronicity Interval (often a fractional time in milliseconds, e.g. 1.234ms or 0.001234seconds or 1234 microseconds) to achieve our preferred feel when playing digital instruments.
